Ingredients
















  1. 1 litre water





  2. 100 gr fresh turmeric





  3. 20 gr fresh ginger





  4. 1.5 tbsp tamarind paste





  5. 50-100 gr palm sugar (gula melaka) to taste





  6. Pinch salt







Steps









  1. Peel turmeric, ginger. Dice turmeric and ginger and make a paste in your food processor.













  2. Add 1 litre water to your saucepan, add the turmeric/ginger paste, tamarind paste, palm sugar, pinch of salt and boil for 10-15 minutes.













  3. Remove this jamu from heat, strain to remove any big chunk.















  4. Keep this jamu in glass jar or disposable plastic container.















  5. Ready to serve warm or put some ice cube for refreshing drink. I like to drink it cold.

    Good to be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
